RAYOTEK SCIENTIFIC, INC. OBTAINS ISO 9001:2008 CERTIFICATION

SAN DIEGO, California—January 31, 2012—Rayotek Scientific is excited to announce that it is now ISO 9001:2008 certified.  Rayotek became certified at the end of 2011 after successfully passing an external audit of its quality management system (QMS) by Perry Johnson Registrars (PJR).

ISO 9001:2008 is an internationally recognized standard used by manufacturing and service organizations to develop a QMS that is designed to achieve continuous improvement in quality and customer satisfaction.  The ISO 9000 standards are a collection of formal international standards, technical specifications, technical reports, handbooks and web based documents on quality management. There are approximately 25 documents in the collection altogether, with new or revised documents being developed on an ongoing basis. ISO Technical Committee (and its Sub-committees, are responsible for the development of the standards.

“Becoming ISO certified demonstrates to our current and potential customers that Rayotek is committed to quality within all levels of our organization,” said Project Manager Randy Weber, who led the ISO project. “Quality management is not new to Rayotek – we have had AS9003 self-certification since 2008. But ISO is an important step forward - it indicates what customers can expect when they entrust Rayotek with their business.”
